Initial exposure unpleasant

Enlightens one
The mystery to be discovered
Becomes the ultimate goal
The view becomes a sight to behold
Its history, a tale
A tale one never tires of listening to
History one would love to be exposed to
It's a sight
Very frightening initially
Until exposure is sufficient
Till the mystery is uncovered
Fright will remain the order of one's life
